MOP CLOTH AND FLOOR CARE
The invention relates to a mop cloth according to the preamble of claim 1, which comprises a cloth part made of fabric, or other flexible material and a thickening part at the edge of the mop cloth. The invention also relates to a floor care device in which a thickening portion of the edge of a mop cloth can be joined to a groove, and a connection between a mop cloth and a floor care tool.
It is an object of the invention to provide a novel mop cloth which is characterized in what is stated in the characterizing part of claim 1. It is also an object of the invention to provide a new type of floor care product and a connection between a mop cloth and a floor care product. A floor care product is a dryer, mop frame, mop or other floor care product.
The mop cloth can be connected to the dryer, mop frame, flat mop or other floor care means by a threader portion by threading the mop cloth threath portion into a groove in the floor care article which forms a channel open at least at one end. There is a narrow slot at the edge of the groove through which the rest of the mop cloth comes out of the slot outside the groove. The size of the gap is slightly larger than the thickness of the attachment portion of the edge of the mop cloth.
The invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
The shape of the edge portion 20 of the mop cloth 10 is shown in the cross-sectional patterns of Figures 1-3.
20190036 prh 15 -05- 2019
In Figure 1, the web portion 11 of the mop cloth 10 is sewn over the fastening portion 21 of the separate edge portion 20. In Figure 2, the web portion 11 of the mop web 10 is folded to extend to both sides of the fastening portion 21 of the peripheral portion 20, after which the web portion 11 is sewn to the fastening portion 21. In Figure 3, the web portions 11a and 11b are sewn onto the fastening portion 21. This provides a double mop cloth.
Figure 4 is a top view of a mop cloth 10 according to the invention. Fig. 4 shows that the mop cloth is sewn with a separate edge portion 20 having a fastening portion 21 and a thickening portion 22.
Fig. 5 shows a floor dryer 30 according to the invention having a groove 50 according to the invention for a thickening portion 22 of an edge portion 20 of a mop cloth 10 according to the invention. Similarly, Fig. 6 shows a plane mop 41 according to the invention having a groove 50 according to the invention for a thickening part 22 of an edge portion 20 of a mop belt 10 according to the invention. In Fig. 6, the mop cloth 10 is rotated underneath the mop 41 in Fig. 7, the mop 41 is rotated to an upright position, whereby the dry part 31 can be used.
According to the invention, the mop cloth 10 has a web portion 11 and an edge portion 20 which are connected to one another. Mop cloth 10 may be a reusable cloth that is washed after use or disposable. The disposable mop cloth 10 is usually made of paper or easy-care synthetic fiber. When the mop cloth 10 is used several times, the cloth portion 11 of the mop cloth 10 is made of a thin or thick fabric. Mop Pad
11 may also be formed with two or more layers of fabric overlapping.
According to the invention, the edge portion 20 of the mop belt 10 is formed by a fastening portion 21 and a thickening portion 22. The edge portion 20 is made of a sufficiently strong but still flexible thermoplastic plastic, other plastic or other flexible material. The attachment portion 21 of the peripheral portion 20 is a thin sheet having a thickening portion 22 which fits within the groove 50 of the floor care device 30, 40 at the edge. The fastening portion 21 of the peripheral portion 20 is fastened to the cloth portion 11 by sewing, gluing, or otherwise.
In this case, the edge portion 20 of the mop cloth 10 may be connected to the cloth portion 11 such that the cloth portion 11 is sewn onto the fastening portion 21 of the edge portion 20.
20190036 prh 15 -05- 2019
The peripheral portion 20 of the mop cloth 10 may also be connected to the cloth portion 11 so that the edge of the cloth portion 11 is folded on both sides of the fastening portion 21 of the portion 20 and sewn portion 11 is sewn into the portion 20 so that the fastening portion 21 is interposed.
It is also possible to sew mop cloth fabrics 11a, 11b on both sides of the fastening portion 21 of the edge portion 20, wherein the edge portion 20 of the mop cloth 10 is connected to two cloth portions 11a, 11b.
Separate tablecloth sections are then sewn on both sides of the fastening portion 21 of the peripheral portion 20
11a, 11b, whereby the fastening portion 21 is sandwiched between the separate cloth portions 11a, 11b forming the double mop belt, thereby conveniently providing the double mop belt 10.
The mop cloth 10 is attached to the floor care tool 30, 40 such that the thickening portion 22 of the fastening portion 21 of the mop cloth 10 is threaded into a groove 50 at the open end of the floor care tool 30, 40. The mop cloth 10 comes out of the groove 50 through a narrow slot 51 which holds the mop cloth 10 in place. The mop cloth 10 can be removed after use from the floor care tool 30, 40 by pulling the mop cloth 10 in the direction of the groove 50 so that the edge bump 22 exits the groove 50 of the floor care tool 30, 40. from 51.
According to the invention, the thickening portion 22 of the peripheral portion 20 of the mop cloth 10 is so shaped that it fits well in the groove 50 of the floor care tool 30, 40. Once the thickener portion and groove are shaped so that the mop cloth 10 stays well in the groove 50. , 40, so that it can be withdrawn in the direction of the groove 50. In this case, the thickening portion 22 of the mop belt 10 slides well in the groove 50 because the cross-section portion 22 is smaller than the cross-section of the groove 50.
Although the thickening portion 22 of the mop cloth 10 is spaced loosely in the groove 50 during use of the floor care tool 30, 40, it remains well in place because the mop cloth 10 is moved in the transverse direction of the groove 50 during use. In this case, the thickening portion 22 of the mop cloth 10 fitted in the groove 50 cannot penetrate the slot 51 of the groove 50.
Problems have been identified with the use of some mop cloths 10 with a peripheral thickening 22 which can make it difficult to use the mop cloth 10. The edge braiding 22 formed of the inverted fabric is too soft and the cross-sectional braid 22 of circular cross section tends to penetrate the slot 51 of the groove 50. When the edge braid 22 is
20190036 prh 15 -05-20199 partially penetrated into the slot 51 of the groove 50, the mop belt 10 no longer slides in the direction of the groove 50 and the mop belt 10 is difficult to remove from the groove 50.
According to the invention, the thickening portion 22 of the mop cloth 10 is part of an edge portion 20 attached to a cloth portion 11 made of a flexible and durable thermoplastic plastic.
The thickening portion 22 and the fastening portion 21 of the peripheral portion 20 of the mop cloth 10 according to the invention are made of thermoplastic plastic in one piece.
The thickening portion 22 of the mop web 10 is at the edge of a thin plate-like edge portion 20 and is substantially thicker than the thin portion and a flexible fastening portion 21 also included in the portion 20. The thickening portion 22 may be rectangular, polygonal, oval, semicircular or a combination thereof.
The thickening portion 22 of the peripheral portion 20 may also be a narrow plate-like portion which is substantially perpendicular to the plate-like fastening portion 21 such that the thickening portion and the fastening portion 21 together form a body having a substantially T-shaped cross-section. In this case, the thickener portion 22 is positioned in the groove 50 of the floor care tool 30, 40 and the thin sheet-like flexible fastening portion 21 of the mop belt 10 comes out of the slot 51 of the groove 50.
Most preferably, the T-shaped thickening portion 22 of the peripheral portion 20 of the mop cloth 10 is slightly smaller in cross-section than the groove 50 of the floor care tool 30, 40, whereby the thickening portion 22 slides in a
At the peripheral portion 20 of the mop 10, the thickening portion 22 may be made shorter at one or both ends than the fastening portion 21 at the peripheral portion 20. This makes it easier to thread the thickening portion 22 into the groove 50 of the floor care product 30, 40.
According to the invention, the retention of the mop cloth 10 in the groove 50 of the floor care product 30, 40 can also be ensured by the groove 50 of the floor care product 30, 40 being shaped according to the thickening portion 22 of the peripheral portion 20 of the mop. Where in the mop web 10 the thickening portion 22 and the fastening portion 21 of the peripheral portion 20 form a T35 shaped cross-section, the groove 50 of the floor care tool 30, 40 and its narrow slot 51 form a T-shaped pattern. In this case, the cross-sectional shapes of the thickening portion 22 and the groove 50 are substantially similar and the thin sheet-like bending
20190036 prh 15 -05-20199 fastener portion 21 comes out of slot 51 of groove 50.
If the thickening portion 22 of the mop cloth 10 is rectangular, polygonal, oval, semicircular, or a combination thereof, the groove 50 of the floor care tool 30, 40 is formed to conform to the shape of the thickening portion 22 of the mop cloth 10. Naturally, the groove 50 of the floor care tool 30, 40 is made slightly larger than the thickening portion 22 of the mop belt 10, whereby the thickening portion 22 is freely movable in the groove 50 of the floor care tool 30, 40 when the mop cloth 10 is inserted or removed.
According to the invention, it is also possible to ensure that the mop cloth 10 remains in the groove 50 of the floor care tool 30, 40, so that the mop cloth 10 has an edge portion 20 and a corresponding thickening portion 22 and fastening portion 21 made of thermoplastic plastic. When the floor care device 30, 40 is used, it is generally done by moving the floor care device 30, 40 substantially perpendicular to the groove 50. In this case, the thickening portion 22 and the fastening portion 21 of the edge portion 20 of the mop web 10 may slightly move in the groove 50 of the floor care device 30, 40 so that the edges of the thickening portion 22 pivot and press against the walls of the groove 50. Hereby, the thickening member 22 made of a loose material is as if locked into place in the groove 50 and does not accidentally leave the groove 50 during use of the floor care means 30, 40.
The T-shape of the thickening portion 22 of the mop cloth 10 and the fastening portion is advantageous because it is easily foldable into a small space in the washing machine, whereby the washing machine holds a large amount of cloths. The known cross-section of the circular thickener portion 22 is less advantageous with respect to the attachment of the mop cloth and also stiffer and more difficult to place in the washing machine.
One or more disposable cloth portions 11 of paper or nonwovens can also be attached to the edge portion 20 of the mop cloth 10 of the invention. The attachment portion of the cloth portion 11 to the attachment portion 21 of the peripheral portion 20 may also be made by sewing or gluing.
However, when sewing the mop belt 10 to the attachment portion 21 of the peripheral portion 20, a thin row of thermoplastic plastic attachment portion 21 will have a row of holes which may impair the durability of the attachment portion 21. According to the invention, the structure of the attachment portion of the peripheral portion 20 is reinforced by placing a reinforcing layer or reinforcing fabric within the peripheral portion 20. The reinforcing layer may be made of non-woven synthetic fabric and placed
20190036 prh 15 -05-20199 in the peripheral portion 20 during the manufacturing step. In this case, the edge portion 20 preferably has a reinforcing layer inside both the thickening portion 22 and the fastening portion 21.
It is essential that the mop cloth 10 according to the invention provides a durable and flexible mop cloth 10 which is easy to wash. The thickening portion 22 and the fastening portion 21 of the peripheral portion 20 of the mop cloth 10 are made of thermoplastic and are durable and flexible. The flexible mop cloths 10 take up little space so they can easily be placed in a large number of washing machines.
According to the invention, the floor care means is a dryer 30, a mop frame 40, a flat mop 41 or other floor care means and the groove 50 therein may be rectangular, polygonal, oval, semicircular or a combination of these shapes. However, when the tuft portion 22 and the fastener portion 21 of the separate edge portion 20 of the mop web 10 form a substantially T-shaped cross-section, it is preferred that the floor care tool 30, 40 has a similarly shaped groove respectively, also in cross-section, a predominantly T-shaped pattern. In this case, the mop cloth stays well in use with the floor care tool, but is easily removed after use since the thickening portion 22 and the fastening portion 21 of the mop cloth 10 are however slightly smaller than the floor care tool 30, 40 groove 50 and slot 51.
The attachment end of the mop cloth 10 according to the invention is advantageous in a floor dryer 30, in which a groove 50 which forms a substantially T-shaped pattern is disposed on the side of the dryer 30. The rubber of the drying section 31 of the floor dryer 30 may then be used for drying when the mop cloth 10 is not folded under the rubber of the drying section 31. However, the mop cloth can be folded under the rubber of the dryer section, whereby the dryer is used as a mop.
The mop attachment head 10 of the invention is also advantageous in a mop frame 40 or a flat mop 41 in which a groove 50 and a slot 51 having a substantially T-shaped cross-section are located at one side of the mop frame 40. If the mop frame 40 is fully pivotable, both sides of the mop belt 10 can be used as a mop so that the mop frame 40 is alternately pressed against different sides of the mop belt 40 against the floor. If, on the other hand, the mop frame 40 is of such a structure that the pivot of the arm is located in the center of the plate-shaped mop 41, then the mop 41 forming the mop frame 40 cannot be completely inverted. Here, for example, a flat mop 41 can be used to wash the floor such that the plate-like mop 41 is horizontal and the mop cloth attached to one of its edges is folded under the flat mop 41. Thereafter, when it is desired to dry the floor, the plate-like mop 41 is turned upright and the rubber of the dry part on the opposite edge of the groove is used to dry the floor.
